Friends of Water from OUR friend PJ.... There is a news blackout going on down here, the dis-information campaigns being propagated by the water company ( a CYA move Im sure) and the ABC affiliate WCHS) Please share our story... Please do not believe all is well in WV just because they have restored service. They have restored service of chemically contaminated water that is corrosive enough to dissolve solders and glues in household plumbing. This is not safe to drink! They claim we are all in the safe zone. How can they? Please do NOT believe anything you hear from WVAW (West Virginia American Water- a division of American Water) and WCHS, the tv station that filmed the audio link below , and every other media outlet that did not report all the details contained in the audio recording linked below. Every single media outlet that reported on this meeting, failed to disclose the important health and safety recommendations it contained. Listen to the mother of the 4 month old baby, whose bleeding eczema, that she had since birth, cleared up in the first 4 days of bathing her baby using bottled water during the Do not use ban. Listen for the comments about the unknown properties of the chemical, and the reasons why you shouldnt consider any contact with it or allowing it in your home, and why 1ppm is not a sufficiently safe level. Now be outraged...not one media outlet that reported on this meeting divulged the health and safety precautions you could have taken to protect yourself. NOT ONE! WCHS released 4 minutes of over 2 hours. Ask why... This information was available to several news stations and print media prior to when you flushed your home. Ask why it was withheld. Ask why, not one media station or investigator is reporting from this area and in peoples homes? Ask why, ten days later, thousands of health problems later, why people are being told to drink water that is ungluing PVC plumbing, and dissolving solders on copper pipes? There is a huge cover-up going on here by not only WVAW but by ABC affiliate WCHS and all other media that reported on this meeting. How can you help?
