From AN ACT UP/ATLANTA CHRONOLOGY---three typewritten pages housed in Emory Universitys MARBL (Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library) as part of its LGBT Collections. October 22, 1992: A protest at the state Department of Human Resources draws attention to their lack of effective AIDS education materials and their planned implementation of named reporting for all individuals who test HIV+. As a result, ACT UP is invited to participate in the creation of future educational materials, and ultimately the proposal for named reporting is dropped.
