From Jade: I humbly ask if you could ask your followers how they deal with morning & evening routines with their ADHD child. My son is 11, every single morning is a reoccuring stressful situation where we have to follow him around to make sure he is getting himself ready for school, packing his homework, taking care of hygiene, tidying his bathroom mess etc. With a newborn this has become so taxing. If I do not hover over him like a helicopter (sounding like a broken record) he will forget his assignments, to put on deodorant and worst of all take his meds for the day (which often results in a phone call home from his teacher). I have made a A.M routine checklist and taped it in 3 locations of the house for him to be reminded of what needs done and to stay of track. This is not working as he jumps around the numbered list and still forgets half of the getting ready necessities. At 11, I feel like this should be routine by now but I have to remind myself his brain does not work like mine. I am one frazzeled momma and need all the support and suggestions I can get. I find myself getting frustrated with him frequently with his lack of responsibility and do not want to be in a negative space with him every morning.
