From Sage Birchwater: Heres a link to my article on Mount Polley in TheGreenGazette. Apparently the provincial government is going to announce an inquiry into the Mount Polley spill on Monday. I think we have to push for a whole accountability of mining in BC. The tendency of the BC Government to rubber stamp projects without a thorough and proper environmental review is troubling. We need to stand up for our pristine and safe environment. Its the only one weve got. This is a human right. Top on my list at the moment is the Gibraltar Mine effluent being poured into the Fraser. We need to push the company and the government to adopt a clean water in, clean water out policy.
