From Washington Sea Grant: A healthy septic system is what every homeowner wants both for peace of mind and to avoid costly repairs. Unhealthy on-site systems can present problems, both to homeowners and to the environment, if not properly installed and managed. Snohomish Conservation District is offering afree septic 101 class this Fall to help residents maintain and protect their systems. Teri King, a septic specialist with Washington Sea Grant, will teach Septic 101 iin Lake Stevens on October 11, 2014 from 10 to 12:30 PM. Teri’s lively classes are generally standing-room only and early registration is encouraged. Topics include: how to prevent overloads, inspecting your system, and finding your as-built design on-line.
