From the Persian empire to Arab world nowadays. So much of our historical knowledge is rooted in Western civilisation. But the Persian empire has its own fascinating accomplishments of one of the greatest civilisations in the ancient world. From the economy of day-to-day life to the political and religious philosophies that would bind our cultures together for thousands of years and play a role in creating the modern world with consequences that matter deeply to our lives today. Hundreds of years have passed since Richard the Lion-heart and Saladin finally came to a settlement on 2 September 1192 and the last crusader knight laid down sword, but the centuries of medieval warfare continue to hold powerful sway over our modern world. The Henri Pirenne thesis held that the cause of the break with the tradition of antiquity was the rapid and unexpected advance of Islam. For him, Charlemagne, Charles the Greats rise without Mohammed would be inconceivable. The history of Islam, when much of the Muslim world was ruled by various caliphates, experiencing a scientific, economic, cultural flourishing and philosophical advances, is essential to the Arab worlds mentality. Rationality that represents Arab worlds image is sure to fill in some critical gaps in our understanding and appreciation of its undeniable effect on Islam today and the tense conflicts between religions and entire civilisations. Our capacity and power to do cruel things continues to this day, when the stigma of Muslim world deals with difficulties and disgrace, when all reason fails, when destruction cannot be repaired, and misery and death follows... Ma limpero persiano ha le sue affascinanti realizzazioni di una delle più grandi civiltà del mondo antico. Dal economia della vita giorno per giorno le filosofie politiche e religiose che legano le nostre culture insieme per migliaia di anni, e giocare un ruolo nella creazione del mondo moderno, con conseguenze che contano profondamente la nostra vita di oggi. Razionalità che rappresenta limmagine del mondo arabo è sicuro di riempire alcuni vuoti critici nella nostra comprensione e lapprezzamento del suo effetto innegabile sullIslam oggi e conflitti tesi tra le religioni e le intere civiltà. La nostra capacità e il potere di fare le cose crudeli continua fino ad oggi, quando lo stigma del mondo musulmano si occupa di difficoltà e disgrazia, quando ogni ragione fallisce, quando la distruzione non può essere riparato, e la miseria e la morte segue ...
