From the Twenty-sixth Annual Report of the Board of Park - TopicsExpress

From the Twenty-sixth Annual Report of the Board of Park Commissioners, Peoria, Illinois, 1921 - On April 21, 1921, a contact was entered into with the Standard Improvement Company for the construction of a Japanese bridge across the Dry Run Creek, connecting the Japanese Garden with the play grounds. The plans were drawn by Frederick J. Klein, architect, and the contract price was $5,470.00. This bridge, which is of beautiful design, when completed will fill a long-felt want, and while it will add greatly to this already beautiful surrounding, it will also enable the people to go from the Japanese Garden to the play grounds without going away around and across the traffic bridge
