From the depths of the ocean, out of the deep blue so far down the floor is obscured by a liquid darkness threatening to crush the bones in your body there came a creature. She, if it could be called a "she" resembled a young woman in every way with a few exceptions. With legs a foot longer my proportion and a lean body with no excess fat, she rose above the surface water. For her face, each individual hair 10 times thicker and similar to thin spines, her eyes were twice the average size with pupils as large as nickles. With fangs long enough to bite through to bone, a smile creeped across white skin which had small defined lines almost similar to wrinkles or dry skin but were actually an evolutionary cross between skin and scales. A lateral line edged the ribs defining her sleek figure. Walking on the stone covered shore you could hear scratches from long nails meant for kicking predators, were it not for the crashing of waves against rock. Taking a deep breath, large spiny rays expand from the beginning of her neck ending just above the tail bone, which did have a tail. a long, snake-like and ended with more spiny rays which expanded as a compact caudal fin.
