From the early birders reports by Steve and other Lesvos Birders we thought we would have missed the best of the wild flowers by the time we arrived on May 3. But lots rain in the days before we flew brought a second flush and today, May 11, there are still masses of wild flowers, including orchids. This for instance is a rough area of scrubland where we park our hire car on the hill behind Molyvos harbour. Its a sea of yellow.
