From your Brother and Sister in Christ here at One Way Christian Center, Brothers and Sisters in Christ, We praise God for your faithfulness in giving your monetary donation to further the Kingdom. Thank you for your obedience to God’s calling! Thank you also for lifting every aspect of our Mission Trip and team up in prayer. Unfortunately, our Mission Trip hasn’t occurred yet! There have been major obstacles along the way, but not to fret! The mission trip IS happening! Let us explain: The mission trip was originally planned for Adairsville, Georgia to assist in the recovery from a catastrophic tornado that demolished half of the town. We raised money from the fundraisers that you donated to, but as the day of departure was approaching, there were still questions about the best way, financially, to travel 14 hours there. Then, a change of plans occurred. There was another tornado that hit Grandbury, Texas. So through prayer, the plans changed to a 5 hour trip. Through a local church organization, we were going to assist in local housing clean-up in a suburban community. Then, devastation struck again in Moore, Oklahoma where a tornado ripped through the town, costing almost $2 billion in damage. We HAD to go. We couldn’t help Texas knowing that our state was hurting so much just 2.5 hours away. The plan then was to help a local resident whose horse ranch was destroyed. His stud horses were mistakenly taken by the Humane Society where they were accidentally castrated. The plan was to clean up debris from his ranch so that he could house the rest of the horses that did return. Then again, heartache hit closer than ever when Morgan’s mother, Nita Adams had a massive stroke 2 days before departure day. We didn’t know why God was doing this, why he was changing the plans, or what he wanted us to do. So the trip was put on hold. The mission team served God by blessing the Adam’s house with a good cleaning to ease their burden while they were spending long days and nights at the hospital. Nita’s condition was unstable, but in the weeks that followed, by God’s unending love and amazing grace, her condition miraculously improved. She is now back in the nursing home with her husband! But the question still remained, what about the mission trip? Where do we go, God? Where are we needed? We have clothes packed, folded, and ready to go, but what do we do with them? With the summer coming to a close, and the school year almost beginning, we needed answers. We prayed, and prayed and you guessed it, we prayed. That’s what Christians do when we have no direction, nowhere to turn, and we are out of options. So we prayed and waited patiently on the Lord. When we were still enough, He said two words…“Divine Array.” God cut our travel time from 14 hours to 0. We had travel expenses totaling $1000 made free and clear to pour back into the community. OUR COMMUNITY. God is allowing us to create a safe, comfortable, spirit-dwelling place right here in our own back yard. How amazing is our God?! And praise be to God, those other places we were going to go: Adairsville, GA- Hands and Feet ministries stepped in and the town is well on its way to recovery. Grandbury, TX- another youth group from Athens, GA came to their aid (in green t-shirts may we add!) and they are also recovering quickly! Moore, OK- Disaster relief from the Red Cross was enough to get them on the road to recovery as well! So with great excitement, our mission trip is happening this month on September 30th at 4pm- 10pm and also September 31st at 8am- 5pm. We invite you to join in the fight for Christ and see your contribution to One Way Christian Center Youth in action! You have already given so much, but it would be an honor to work alongside you or just to see you, Dear Brother or Sister in Christ! If you have any questions, feel welcome to contact Pastor Morgan or Jaime Adams. And again, thank you for all you have done for us and the Kingdom. In Christ, Pastor Morgan and Jaime Adams One Way Christian Center (580)-318-9007 (Jaime Adams)
