Funerals always make you think... may you think about that persons life, how they passed, your life, your relationship with Jesus....all of that. The other day I became angry as I looked through Reggies pics and saw a pic of a tattoo that read Ecclesiastes 9:11 The race is not given to the swift, nor to the strong, but to the one who endureth til the very end. I got angry because right there on his chest was the very word he needed to hang on. I know what its like to be that kid, wearing a smile, surrounded by people yet feeling completely isolated. I just wished he wouldve looked at that scripture one more time and really believed that he would win this race. :-/ So, then I asked...God, how do you get the glory from something like this? An innocent life taken by their own hands. The answer. Learn from this. Live. Give honor to God. Stand firm in your faith and live. Still praying for his family, and praying for these young people... Encourage them. They need us.
