GEJ has presented a mind boggling 2015 budget that will be funded - TopicsExpress

GEJ has presented a mind boggling 2015 budget that will be funded from NON OIL REVENUE. If you ask me, I will tell you that this is CHANGE, change in its purest form. Oil has become a curse in this country. All the problems we are having in Nigeria can all be traced to oil, who controls the oil and who benefits from the lucre? We needed someone who can think from outside the box and thats what GEJ just did with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Peter Obi and other serious people in the ECONOMIC TEAM. 2015 BUDGET WILL BE FUNDED 100% FROM REVENUES COMING FROM OTHER AREAS OF THE ECONOMY. This is where I have a problem with APC. APC as a party, has men and women that can think from outside the box too. There are many credible men and women in the APC. But these credible men and women have not been given any chance. Rather, APC has presented men that are not only thinking in the box but men that practically live in the box. Go through the APC manifesto and you will discover that they are coming to sanitize the oil sector. To them, NNPC accounting process as it is now, is not as transparent as it should be and they are coming to instil this transparency. This looks like change to them and to some people that are myopic in reasoning. But in concrete term, this is rigmarole. Someone is taking us back. Someone is not thinking ahead. The world has gone beyond oil. We need people that will create an economy that exports finished products, not an economy that exports raw materials. By the time we drill all the oil in Nigeria, what are we going to tell our childrens children? Leave the oil so that generations unborn will have something to drill. The change we need in Nigeria is already cooking. Who would have imagined that any government in Nigeria will have the audacity to finance an annual budget from non oil revenue? All the leaders we have had in the past continued drilling the oil because to them, oil is what matters. Oil forced them to power and oil was what they lived and ruled for. That oil is now a curse because it has divided us more than it has united us. Any right thinking Nigerian MUST VOTE GEJ come February 14th so that he could perfect the change. Any political party that is still THINKING OIL, TO THE EXTENT OF MAKING SANITY IN THE OIL SECTOR THE MAIN POINT IN THEIR CLAMOUR TO ANCHOR POWER, IS NOT THE PARTY WE NEED NOW. We need people that can open other places and leave oil alone.
