GENERAL WELFARE: I reiterated, in a press conference this morning, MY STRONG OPPOSITION TO THE DPWH ROAD WIDENING PROJECT IN NAGA CITY WHIICH WILL ENTAIL THE CUTTING OF 651 TREES. Tomorrow, I will elevate this matter to the 11th Sangguniang Panlungsod during its inaugural session. I firmly believe that we are not, in any way, bound by the decision of the DPWH and the CDC. AS DULY ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PEOPLE, WE MUST, AT ALL TIMES, UPHOLD THE GENERAL WELFARE.
