GETTING HERE Please ask if you would like us to arrange a private car to pick you up from the Airport or the Train station. The fare is payable straight to the driver (and is about the same price as taking a taxi) – we don’t take a cut! Once you arrive in Bai Xep, turn left down the hill into the village. Pass the small school on your left hand side and wave to the friendly children. Continue down into the village until you reach the Well where you’ll see the villagers gathered selling their goods and enjoying the local street food. Turn right and follow the lane about 100m until you’re met by the stunning view of the turquoise sea and the golden sand. We are on the beachfront on your right hand side – you won’t miss us! Ask the friendly villagers and they’ll probably help by pointing you in the right direction! By Local Bus or Taxi from Quy Nhon If you’re feeling a little more confident and decide to make your own way here then you’ll find us just off the D1 Highway about 10km south of Quy Nhon. Share the T9 bus with the locals towards Chi Thanh . It runs fairly frequently from around 0530 to 1715 and then returns from around 0645 to 1750. The first stop, near the Co-op Mart is about 10 minutes walk from the Vietnam Airlines office (where the airport shuttle bus drops off) and about 20 minutes walk from the local Quy Nhon train station (Note – not Dieu Tri Station). If you’ve arrived in Quy Nhon by bus then you can also pick up the T9 bus from the bus station which is opposite the Metro Store. Just be aware that the Taxi drivers don’t always know the village of Bai Xep so make sure you know the directions! There is a Bai Xep picnic site sign posted before you reach the village where the Taxi Driver may try to drop you – continue past this for approximately 200m where you will see the entrance to the village where there is a “Life’s a Beach” sign post! Conveniently the T9 bus will also stop here. If you pass the Avani Resort you have gone too far! If you’re feeling really adventurous then you could try taking a Motorbike taxi. The general rule is that they should cost around half the price of a normal taxi but you should be prepared to negotiate!! By Plane Vietnam Airlines flies daily between Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and Quy Nhon, and between Hanoi (HAN) and Quy Nhon. VietJet flies daily between Ho Chi Minh City and Quy Nhon. Quy Nhon’s Phu Cat Airport (UIH) is 35km (22 miles) north of the town. There is a shuttle bus from the Vietnam airlines office which is about 10 minutes walk to the T9 Bus terminus in Quy Nhon. By Bus If you’re arriving from the south you may be able to persuade the driver to let you off as you pass the village. It will always help to have some Vietnamese and a little incentive ready! Journey times from popular destinations are: Nha Trang – 5 hours Da Lat – 8 hours Da Nang (Hoi An) – 6 hours Central Highlands via Kontum – 6 hours The Bus Station in Quy Nhon is about 2km south of the town centre. By Train The Reunification Express is certainly the most comfortable way to travel and you get the benefit of a comfortable bed and the opportunity to chat with other travellers from all over the world. It connects Quy Nhon with Ho Chi Minh via Nha Trang to the south and Hanoi via Danang (for Hoi An) to the north. It stops at Dieu Tri Station which is about 10km west of Quy Nhon. An overnight soft sleeper train also runs daily from Ho Chi Minh City. This arrives directly into the small Quy Nhon station in the centre of the city.
