GIRL NARRATES HOW POLICE OFFICER DEFILED HER BY FORCING HIMSELF ON HER: A 13 year old girl has testified in a Lusaka Magistrates court that she was defiled twice by her 43-year-old uncle, who is a police officer. The minor told Magistrate Albert Mwaba that in March this year, her uncle, Vincent Kasonde, who was her guardian at Lilayi Police camp first defiled her in her bedroom. The girl told the child-friendly court that on the fateful day whilst her aunt was away in Mongu, her uncle entered her bedroom and forced himself on her. “He walked into my bedroom stark naked and when I wanted to scream, he held my mouth. Then he undressed me and put his manhood in my vagina, I felt pain but I was powerless,” the girl narrated. She said when her aunt came back, she narrated the ordeal to her but she did not report the matter to the police. The teenager said after a few days, her aunt was away in the village and Kasonde asked her to escort him to the mess to buy beer. She said after buying beer, he again defiled her in the back seat of his car. The girl is currently living at Children in Crisis, a safe home. Magistrate Mwaba adjourned the matter to October 22 for continued trial. Okay . . .
