GOD IS GOOD! I just finished service at Center of Hope Ministries to celebrate the 70th Birthday of Pastor Wille Riley. Just as service was ending a friend of his, Prophet Michael Chapman walked in late. I have never seen this man in my life. He was called up to give remarks for Pastor Rileys birthday. As he was speaking he singled me out and begin to prophesie. Although I believe in the power of prophesy, I am very leary of people who call themselves prophets, especially when they are prophesing over me. He told me that my mind was troubled and that because I had the heart of the people everything will be alright. He also told me that the battle is not mine and because Im getting closer Satan will be busier. I thought about my friend and brother Arnold Coleman who constantly tell me, David, you have the heart of the people. I am sharing this as I shed tears sitting in this church as I type because I am spiritually overwhelmed. My mind was troubled because when we were out campaigning yesterday, I was physically assaulted by Tim Thomas. the husband of 17th Ward Alderman Latasha Thomas as well as told to leave the block in a threatening manner. I was invited to the block club party by the vice president of the block to greet the residents. My volunteer called the police. When they arrived, they said it was a sticky situation because hes the husband of the Alderman. They called the sergeant who then came out and I asked what I wanted him to do. I told him that I wanted him arrested for assault and battery. During this time Alderman Thomas came down, who was not outside when the incident occurred. She begin to interfere with the investigation and when the sergeant did not listen to her she got on the phone and made a called. A couple of minutes later, one of the officers told the sergeant that the lieutenant was calling and wanted to talk to him right now. The sergeant walked away and took the call. He came back and said that they were not going to arrest him because they do not get involved in political disputes. This man came from across the street and agressively chest bumper me and ordered me to leave the block in a threatening manner. All I could think about that had I retaliated they would not have hesitated to lock me up. Although they wrote a supplemental report, and told me that I could go to 111th on Monday if I wanted to pursue it and have a warrant issued for his arrest. I was going to post the pictures and video of the Alderman abusing her powers on FB and I was going to go to 111th tomorrow. But to God be the glory. This prophet did not know me and he singled me out. Because you have the heart of the people, this battle is not yours. My mind is now free. I wont pursue the charges. This is not my battle and I wont allow satan to take me off course. Thank you Larry R Rogers Jr for your leadership and friendship. And thank you God for using your vessel to speak to me.
