GOD LOVES PETS “We were so SADDENED when our DOG Rudy became sick and died. We talked about getting another, but my husband was reluctant. I even had a name picked out—‘HENRY.’ You see, I like PEOPLE NAMES for dogs. One day I pulled into a gas station near the Pennsylvania border. My daughter got out to pump gas, came back and said, “Mom, come and see this puppy!” A woman in a truck was holding a cute puppy—a Mountain Cur mix. She said there were more in the litter back at the farm where they were living and that we could have the boy dog if we wanted. My husband was not at all thrilled, but later I called the woman, Heather, and made arrangements to pick up our cute little black and brown puppy the next day. When Heather asked what we would NAME him, I said, ‘HENRY.’ She and her husband started LAUGHING. They said the man who owned the farm where they lived was named Henry too! Heather put Henry into my arms, and I gave her a copy of your book, ‘When God Winks.’ Incidentally, the name Henry means ‘RULER OF THE HOUSE,’ and guess what ... he lives up to his name!
