GOOD EVENING FACEBOOK AND WELCOME TO YOUR NEW WEEKLY ENGLISH CLASS WITH ME,MRS.HOWZE!!!!!!!! I created this class today to help out all my friends who are bad spellers! This is what we will be discussing today.... Ive noticed here lately that some of you dont know the differences in the spelling of the words BATH and BATHE and also the spelling of the words BREATHE and BREATH.For some reason it really aggravates me so Im here to inform you of the correct spelling and the definitions. But before I do,and it flies over your head you should first know the differences between a verb,an adverb,a noun, and an adjective.Lets begin with those... -Verb-a word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence -Adverb-a word or phrase that modifies or qualifies an adjective, verb, or other adverb or a word-group, expressing a relation of place, time, circumstance, manner, cause, degree, etc......or in simpler terms,an adverb tells you when, where, how, in what manner or to what extent an action is performed -Noun-a person, place or thing -Adjective-a word or phrase naming an attribute, added to or grammatically related to a noun to modify or describe it.Or,once again in simpler terms,a word used to describe a noun Now on to the hard stuff.Below is a list of the words we discussed earlier and there definitions and uses.If you pay close attention, you just might learn the difference. -Bath & Bathe-the definition of both of these words are the same...An act or process of immersing and washing ones body in a large container of water.BUT bath is a noun and bathe is a verb, therefore they are spelled differently. -Breathe-take air into the lungs and then expel it, esp. as a regular physiological process.Breathe is a verb. -Breath-the air taken into or expelled from the lungs.Breath is a noun. That concludes our English lesson for today.I hope you all learned something...but,if youre still confused, you could always go back to middle school.Stay smart and have a nice day. :) Sincerely, Mrs.Howze
