GOOD NEWS: The Tri-Cities was recently featured in two publications that will combined, reach 100,000 readers and followers. The diversity of the publications’ readership will provide dual coverage of the Tri-Cities, reaching a broad set of potential travelers. Northwest Travel Magazine touted Tri-Cities as one of “7 Charming Getaway Cities” directing readers to experience local attractions such as Sacajawea State Park, the wine experience on Tulip Lane and the B Reactor. Westernbass also recently published a story, “Columbia River – Lake Wallula, Tri-Cities, Washington” encouraging anglers to experience superior smallmouth bass fishing as well as the wineries, golf courses and historical attractions available in the Tri-Cities. “These articles are the result of our ongoing media outreach efforts targeted at a variety of travel writers and publications,” said Kris Watkins, President and CEO of the Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau. “The exposure these articles provide is well timed with travelers beginning to plan spring and summer getaways,” she added.
