GOODLUCK E. JONATHAN , SINCERELY DOING IT . Part One. By Tijani kabiru, ( Ejeh-kojeh 1) Nigeria opposition people claimed, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is clueless and has nothing to offer since inception in 2011 and I asked this simple question, Were they roads and infratructures after the demise of our founding fathers of blessed memories, Late sir Ahmadu Bello sadaunan sokoto ,Late Sir Tafawa Balewa the Prime Minister of Nigeria, Sir Nnamdi Aziwkwe, sir Obafemi Awolowo etc etc ,before the inception of GEJ as President in 2011 and he GEJ came with grader catapilar and removed the roads and equally sold out our factories and industries or forcefully bring foreign Militants to bomb our planes and railways? The answer is capital No. For the past three and half decades they held on to power, what legacies did they bequeath to us? But let me exray GEJ,sketchy physical development, the ones I see and can vouch for and not the ones on pages of Newspaper nor online, the ones I passed through and saw with my naked eyes. -TRANSPORT SECTOR. Roads Dualisation of Abuja- Lokoja road 90% completion Dualisation of Lokoja- Okene bye pass road 55% completion (kogi State) Construction of Guto- Bagana bridge ongoing in( kogi state). Construction and rehabilitation of trunk Aroad from Itobe-Anyagba- Ankpa- Otukpa ( kogi and Benue) Dualisation of Akwanga-Lafia road 70% completion (Nassarawa State) Dualisation of the East west road 80% completion ( south/south region) in summary. Dualisation of Onitsha - owerri Express road. 100% completion, ( Anambra and Imo State). Dualisation of Enugu- Umuahia road ongoing with almost 60% completion Dualisation of Babangida gawu - suleja - Dikko road ongoing ( Niger state) Rehabilitation of Babangida gawu - Bida- Mokwa road, completion 80% ( Niger State) etc, etc to mentioned but a few. Railway Completion of Lagos - kaduna railway. Completion of kaduna - Kano railway. Completion of kaduna inter rail transport Completion of Abuja- keffi railway Ongoing Abuja inter Rail transport system etc, etc. to mentioned but a few . Airways. At least we have recorded less plane crash in the aviation sector since 2011 till date, compare to what the author of my watch book bequeathed to us. Our National air carrier is coming back gradually , after the ground of Nigeria Airways do to mismanage of our Common wealth by our past leaders. Our international airports are given new facelifts. Eg Murtala Mohammed Terminal II, Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport Abuja , Akanu Ibiam international airport etc upgraded to meet National and international standards and best practices. All airlines operators now fly standards planes since 2011 and not moribund ones any longer and this has reduce airline crash drastically to the minimal level. Many states in the country now have state airport for easy transport movement within and outside the country. Etc, etc. To mentioned but a few. Automobile companies Since the collapse of (PAN ) Peugeot Automobile industries in Kaduna decades over now, we had no indigenous automobile industries in Nigeria that assemble vehicles on Nigeria soil for the past Decades they rule, rather Nigeria became a tokunbo nation and a dumping ground for fairly used cars . With the inception of GEJ, INNOSSON MOTORS became an indigenous automobile cars assembly in Nigeria after years of the locust, Now you can by made in Nigeria luxury brand new cars on our soil, made and assembled in Nigeria by Nigerians in INNOSSON MOTORS. Not tokunbo cars. Etc IN summary our Aviation, Rail, Roads Automobile industries were moribund and grounded for over 30 years they rule and colonized Nigeria forcefully . In less than four years of taking oat of office as president, GEJ had achieved so far, who among them , including the author of my Watch book , Popularly known as the man we can trust 1999/2007 never gave us this in eight years of his peaceful and Bokoless regime ?. The decadance in our National infrastructures took several years by the looters in plundering our economy and its not going to be a quick fixed thing like magic, it takes time to build but very easy to destroy, they did this consciously in decades. Nigerians must just have to be patients. It takes time for a dislocated leg to heal even with the best medication all over the world, Nigeria is at that stage now, but we are healing rapidly and not as they think. I verily believe we need a change and that change must come surely and its in the making, with President, GEJ, but not the change of the old brigades , but that of the old to the new brigades . That begins with me and you. Lets give him a chance, in less than four years he is sincerely doing it and he will do more Finally, My peace loving people of kogi state most specifically, the people of Bagana in Omala local government area, who where maimed , properties wantonly destroyed over the weekend, wish to use this medium to salute your peaceful courage and continue to be law abiding citizens. The law of the land will not relent in catching up with the authors of this crime against humanity. God the almighty will bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime against man to man and justice shall surely prevailed, if not now later, if not by man, then by God the infinite. For no crime shall go unpunished. May the good lord continue to shelter, prosper and guide you all in your difficult and festive period, our ancestors shall be your quide day in and out. Amen.
