GREAT ADVICE!!! Ill add a #6: The cake! Let a professional who knows what theyre doing make the cake! From dietary restrictions, to possible allergens. From poisonous flowers, to perishable filling. From weather, to driving conditions. A professional knows what theyre doing to fix anything they may come their way! The also know how to properly stack and support a cake, adhere to sanitary rules and regulations, are insured and licensed to protect themselves, you AND your guests, and so much more. Please, I beg you, DO NOT attempt to DIY, or go with your moms coworkers daughter, who *just* took a class at a store nearby. Schedule a tasting, look through THEIR portfolio (not just cakes they have pinned), and get a sketch. The cake is (often) the only dessert served at the reception...it NEEDS to be delicious, and look gorgeous!
