GVO VP Lee Hetherington and his son went Turkey hunting yesterday. It turned out to be a day of firsts for Will. At 85 yards three Toms stepped out of the woods along with a loud thunderous gobble! Over the next 15 minutes they were able to successfully call them in to range. Will took a successful base-of-the-neck shot…and the rest is history. It was Wills first Minnesota turkey and first bow kill. The bird weighed 21 pounds with a 9.5 inch beard and nearly 1 inch spurs.
