Gate 7 closed until further notice: Inbound and outbound lanes of Gate 7 will be closed immediately and remain closed while an explosive ordnance disposal team clears an unexploded munition that was discovered during construction work on Monday evening. “EOD experts have been notified and we’ll get this area cleared as soon as possible,” said COL Bill Marks, Garrison Commander. “The safety of our workforce is our top priority.” All other gates will operate as usual. “We encourage Team Redstone motorists to leave a little earlier in the morning and also ask that supervisors be aware that employees may be late,” said Marks. “We’ll get this cleared up as safely and as quickly as possible.” Another advisory will be issued when Gate 7 is reopened.
