Gave a challenge last night to the RU men. It was in James 1. I asked the question of who had a bad day? Everyone raised their hand. I asked if anyone had been persecuted or tortured for their faith, no hands. The day wasnt that bad then was it. James was writing to the twelve tribes that had been scattered abroad because of the persecution of their faith. He told them that when not if they are faced with such trials to keep a ledger of these things and be joyful for them. What? Be joyful for being tortured? Be joyful for having to run for their lives? Be joyful for being persecuted because of who you serve? The answer? Yes!. James wanted to show them that the testing or proving of their faith will bring them endurance and endurance when it is done will complete them and they shall perfect in Christ needing nothing! He also told them that if they endured through these testings or trials they would receive a Crown of Righteousness! My friend, the trial you may be going through?....Count it all joy! Acknowledge Him! Praise Him! Let it mold you and conform you into His image! Endure to the end and a Crown of Righteousness you will receive! Have a great treasure day!
