Gay Marriage OK. In light of today I feel I need to get something of my chest which I know will shock a lot of people. I am sorry I have to do this but I feel I have to be honest. I may lose friends over this but I have to stay true to my beliefs and values. This will come as a surprise to most of you, believe me it surprise the hell out of me but I got no choice. I can no longer suppress my feelings on this subject of Gay Marriage. I cant believe Im going to say this but Im extremely proud of David Cameron. (bloody hell) Despite resistance from within his own party and other people of fantasy self importance he stuck to his guns and saw through a law that has finally meant Britain is moving forward. For a brief moment I supported the Tory Government (I know, Im as confuse as you are) And despite all warnings there has been no riots, no mass flooding (mind you I did spill some water today so maybe). People have not suddenly turned gay and marriage unit has not broken down. Life as carried on as normal. In fact Im guess most people did not really care. I proud of what David Cameron done to day. That finally people are being treated for being people and not for a label designed to identify separate and belittle. We still got a long way to go but this is a huge progress to equality for all. Love should never be used as a weapon against anyone and for those who are against it. Tough. You need to re-examine your own values if hate and separation is the argument you want to project. Now this is done, can we work on getting rid of the title gay people and just call them people? When we can do that. Thats when we truly are a nation of equals. Well Done Tories. Today I stand beside you. Tomorrow however back to hating.
