General Employment 06/25/2013 JWSC has immediate openings for the following positions: Construction Crew Leader - supervises, directs & participates in activities of a construction crew in the construction, repair, replacement & rehabilitation of sanitary sewer infrastructure using a variety of open cut &/or trenchless techniques & methods in accordance w/accepted standards & specifications as established by the Division. Assumes all responsibility for site construction/ repair operations to include crew productivity, quality of work, safety & site restoration. HS diploma or equivalent, plus w/5 yrs sewer construction & equipment operation experience w/1 yr of supervisory or lead worker experience; or any combination of education & experience that provides required knowledge, skills, & abilities to perform the work. Requires the possession of a Class B CDL Drivers License w/in 1 yr & a Wastewater Collection System Operator License issued by GA State Board of Examiners w/in 2 yrs of position acceptance. Pumping Systems Maintenance Coordinator - Manages, oversees, directs & participates in the activities of the Pumping Systems Crews & Pump Rebuild Shop assuming responsibility for facilities operations, maintenance, efficiency, effectiveness, crew productivity, quality of work, & the proper & safe utilization of crew resources & the maint. & repair of assigned vehicles, equipment & tools. Oversees the work of Pumping System Crew Leaders and the Pump Rebuild Shop Pumping System Technician II &, as necessary, assists with performance of work being performed. Position issues & closes work orders, assists w/maintenance of facility summary files & individual facility files; handles the logistics of locating, pricing & acquisition of needed system components; schedules non-routine work, special projects & maintenance of rolling stock & related emergency equip. Uses SCADA to identify facility problems/ maintain efficiencies. Manages the Lift Station Emergency Response On-Call & Water Facility Pump Maintenance programs under guidance & directives of Division Superintendent. HS diploma or equivalent plus10 yrs of experience in the operation & maintenance of water & wastewater pumping systems, or equivalent combination of training & experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, & abilities to perform the job. Requires the possession of a Wastewater Collection System Operator License or ability to acquire one w/in 2 yrs.
