General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff, visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar today. During his meeting with Corps Commander, COAS reviewed progress of ongoing operations Zarb-e Azb and Khyber 1 and preparations for effective implementation of NAP. Later, COAS and Begum Raheel Sharif joined Quran Khani, for the shuhada of Army Public School Peshawar. While expressing solidarity with bereaved families, COAS paid glowing tributes to Shuhada and wounded for their great sacrifice for the motherland. General Raheel Sharif reiterated that entire nation and Armed Forces of Pakistan stand firmly behind the affected families in this hour of distress. Earlier on arrival at Corps Headquarters Peshawar, COAS was received by Lieutenant General Hidyat Ur Rehman Commander 11 Corps Peshawar.
