George Dale Babbitt, 81, of Centerton, Arkansas died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville. He was born October 16, 1932 in Dierks, Arkansas the son of Opal Martindale and Alvin Otis Babbitt. George was a member of First Assembly of God Rogers and enjoyed hunting. One of his joys in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. George was preceded in death by; his parents, and one brother; Kenneth. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Retha Babbitt, of the home, one son; George Alvin Babbitt and his wife Deborah, of Seibert, Colorado, one daughter; Cherry Diann Hardcastle of Centerton, Arkansas, one brother; Eldon Babbitt and his wife Dorothy, of Loveland, Colorado, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many loving friends. Visitation will be: Monday, January 27, 2014 at First Assembly of God Church in Rogers from 8:30 a.m. until service time. Funeral service will be at the church at 10:00 a.m. also on Monday. Interment will follow at National Cemetery in Fayetteville.
