German channel withdrew unreliable story about #Ukraine from archive #ARD, #Germanys largest public TV broadcaster, has again shocked public opinion with a sincere desire to unmask its own biased reports. This time editors have apologized for distortion of facts in their May coverage about events in Ukraine and withdrawn the story from the archive, German Der Tagesspiegel reports. At that time ARD correspondent in Moscow reported about the deaths of two residents of the Ukrainian town of Krasnoarmeysk. Militants were claimed to have killed them. And now (after additional review of the facts, as ARD management put it) it has been found that Kiev military volunteers killed the Ukrainians, Rossiya 24 (Russia 24) reports. Such confessions have grown into habit with ARD. The day before editor-in-chief stated that the channel was going to review its reporting policy by making reports more unbiased. The reasoning for review is frequent viewers complaints.
