Get up...youve got what it takes #Must read!Ungazifundela ndiyigubhulule BAck when I was still in Primary i used to bully this girl who I claimed was ugly and dark as a polished shoe. I would make fun of her every morning, tease and insult her. She was my daily bread. She would carry ma back pack on our way home from school. Everytime I met with her on the dusty streets of Tyutyu, she would change the direction of where she was going. She was scared of me.Until one day...Until one day when she was tired of running away. When she was tired of being my slave. I remember this one day, at school it was break time; there she was with her friends sitting down having lunch. As usual I approached her Yah siyhiba ndini!, I said, poking her head. She looked at me furiously and didnt say nothing. Ndithi Yah siyhiba ndini!Ndiphendule, I said. Again she didnt respond but continued to look at me and now her eyes were teary. Her friends said to her, Uzomyeka na uAya akugezele?Hay suba sisinyabi tyhini!Akakuzelanga moos! I immediately shut them up, Voetsek nina!Ningena ndawoni? While I was busy responding to them, she jumped on me angrily, screaming. I fell down. There she was on top of me, beating the hell out of me. I was defenceless. Her friends called every learner to come and witness David killing Goliath. The crowd was cheering, Mbethe anye!Mbethe anye!Mbethe anye! #excuse my lanuage. Well she did a very good job on me. When she was done, she stood up and said, Kudala ndikunyamezele undigezela, soze uphinde ngoku!, and with fear I nodded on my knees. There I was with everyone laughing at me. I was exposed! I was exposed that I was weak with no self-esteem.My face was bruised with my left eye swollen and my school shirt was torn apart. Since then things turned around. I was now the victim. She would tease me everytime we meet. Even at school I was a joke. I became nobody. She gained her freedom back by standing up for herself. I had to share this with you because it has taught me also a lesson as I reflect back to my childhood. Life like the bully I used to be, will give you hardships and knock you down. Life would make you feel worthless. BUT like this girl stop weeping for a moment and face your chalenges. Stop running away!Fight your fights. You have what it takes. Subasisinyabi like that girl. FIGHT! You can beat that sickness or desease, you can finish that diploma or degree. You can pass that matric. You can get that promotion. You can have your family back together again. Dont allow the devil to walk over you just like that! Youre a mighty worrior wena!Fight for your freedom.Fight for your family!Fight for your marriage!Fight for your life...!And when youre done victory will all be yours! For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
