Getting tired of me yet? Sorry, not done yet. When was the last time you wrote in a Letter of Recommendation to our Kingdom for someone for an award? Think Lady Y makes awesome whatchamacallits, and from period sources? Write a recommendation. Seen Lord M working hours behind the scenes for a baronial event? Write a recommendation. Think mlord Z has really come up in their combat skills? Write a recommendation. YOU, yes you have that power to help other members of our barony, to award them for all they do that help you enjoy whatever it is you do. And do you really think only Peers can recommend another person to join the Peerage? Let me tell you a not-so-secret secret, ANYONE can write a recommendation for the Peers to consider a person for Peerage. Anyone. The Peer councils may or may not agree with you. They may not do so right away, and it may take months or years for things to come to fruition. But if nothing else, it will put that person onto their radar (which they may not thank you for later, but who knows, maybe they might). So, if you know of someone who you truly feel is worthy of becoming a Peer - Laurel, Knight or Pelican, take the time to craft a well written letter of Recommendation, with their history, their awards, and what they have done that you feel is so worthy, and send it to the respective council secretaries. royals.sca-caid.org/awards/recs.php
