Girl Scouts to Help Meals On Wheels collect pet food (Article in the Abilene Reporter News today) Girl Scout Troop 7200 will be at Tractor Supply, 4450 Southwest Drive on Saturday, May 17th to collect donations of dog and cat food for Meals on Wheels recipients. About 450 clients receive pet food for their furry companions. Many of these clients live alone or have difficulty leaving their homes. A pet gives them an outlet, a friend, maybe even an excuse to get up in the morning. If you cant go to Tractor Supply on Saturday, you can still help. Online donations can be made at mealsonwheelsplus, where you can specify your donation be used for groceries, general fund or pet food. Show these troop members that you appreciate their community service by supporting their project.
