Glad that we are still receiving Guests for our event, please find this that was shared by HELD Sister Initiative, .................Slum Child Foundation will be hosting the 4th edition of “Smart student Awards”. The awards seeks to recognize, motivate and award the efforts of young student in schools from the slums. The event is scheduled for 27th September 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Secondary School in Kariobangi North as from 9am to Noon. It is an annual event that has been hosted for the last five years. On this day we invite both girls and boys from schools within the nearby slums where we work, Activities lined up for the day including speech by Motivational speakers from various professional fields who seek to encourage them, based on the year’s theme which is Empower me to rise beyond expectation. It is also through these annual events that we have begun mentorship opportunities for students from the slums who would like to be mentored in various professional fields. The event will be graced by the chief guest speaker Ms Carolyne Nganga the C.E.O/Founder HELD Sister Initiative................ All are welcomed.
