God bless all women in this International women’s day 8th March 2014 Women indeed are treasures, pearls and gift to the world in general. May God continue to bless and guide and help them in their lives. Oh God forgive them their mistakes and sins which they might have been committed consciously or unconsciously and for the dead ones among them grant eternal rest, Amen. Etymologically, Almah (עלמה, plural: alamot עלמות) is a Hebrew word meaning a young woman of childbearing age, who has not yet had a child, who may be an unmarried virgin or a married young woman. The linguistic exegesis tell us that the words for male and female in Genesis 5:2 are zkr male (of humans and animals) and hbqn means woman, female child or female animal. zkr is said to be derived from the primitive root rkz, meaning to remember, recall, call to mind, while hbqn is said to be derived from the primitive root bqn, meaning to pierce, perforate, bore, appoint. The word for female, nekeva, is of the same root as nekev, that is puncture, presumably indicative of the Sheat. From the Greek word guné, γυνή, γυναικός, ἡ (γυνή, αικός, ἡ); means a woman of any age, whether a virgin, or married, or a widow, wife or a lady. The word doula comes from the ancient Greek meaning a woman who serves, caregiver or woman of service and is now used to refer to a trained and experienced professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and just after birth; or who provides emotional and practical support during the postpartum period. From the etymological meanings we can see that women are gifted with many positive characters by God in all ramifications. God is a giver of all gifts, while human beings are mere custodians of these gifts. Any being or gift that is worthy of goodness, excellence, wonderful, kindness, handsome and beautiful, takes it root from God therefore, we should constantly give thanks and praise to God for the gift of women to humanity and the world in general. Let us then know that women are beings that nature used also in upgrading the dignity of creation. Ipso facto, on this special feast day of women in International wise, let us reflect a bit on the word, woman: W – WOMEN are special and extraordinary gift which God used in garnishing and showing his goodness in nature. O – OUTSTANDING is the presence of any woman amidst the world’s beautifulness. M – MATURITY in the world over that lacks recognizance of women, is debased of incompleteness. A – ATTRACTION from any woman young and old as well, should help all in the struggle towards being attracted to the Most High God. N – NEVER in the history of humanity in the world has there existed any success without a direct or indirect connection of a woman, either spiritually, morally, physically, financially or otherwise. The gift of a woman by nature to the world brings out clearly the hidden ontological character of motherhood of nature. Therefore, each woman whether religious, consecrated lay, single or married, with or without any biological child of hers ought to always maintain this title of good motherhood, for it is evident in the nature of a woman and word motherhood: M – MAINTAIN your integrity as a mother always O – OFFER everything to God in prayer each day. T – TEACH always with good example. H – HOLINESS is very necessary in your life, as much will always be expected from you. E – ENDURANCE ought to be in all you do. R – RESPECT to all, old as well as the young. H – HOLD firm the good moral teachings of all that come to you. O – OBSCENITY should be avoided in you as a mother. O – OBEDIENCE ought to be emulated from you. D – DO everything at its proper time. Going by Italian descriptions then, Donna is a word for a woman hence: I significati da parola DONNA è: D – DONO di Dio con cui, Lui fa la creazione molto interessante. O – OFFERTA in cui Dio stabilisce il Suo bellezza e amoresissimo paterna. N – NESSUNO che cade dall’ albero, ma della meraviglioso natura e maternità di una donna. N – NEANCHE cura che pó dare al mondo se non originalmente con caratteristiche materna. A – ALLA luce dal mondo, vediamo che la donna é in centro, accanto, davanti e dietro.
