God said “It is not good for man to live alone”. So, Jesus - TopicsExpress

God said “It is not good for man to live alone”. So, Jesus came. His coming was like light on the first day of creation. Men come and go. A myriad stars appear, but sunrise eclipses them all. ‘The day-spring from on high has visited us’ (Luke 1,78). He came as light but ‘Men love darkness rather than light’. The tensions grew, and were to end in the final horror of the Cross. The light was snuffed out - or seemed to be. Mankind was left in the dark when Jesus died. The world had nothing but the thinkers and their speculations, uncertain sparks struck from their own minds. But Jesus triumphantly rose from the dead and ascended to heaven. His death is a fact about the human race. It marked mankind, the single most notable event of history. His Cross is the world’s number-one man-made object. All this is the fill of the Gospels. The immortal yielding to mortality, the Son of God dying as the Son of Man, and a secret triumph running through it all to a sequel of resurrection hope. God bless you. JOHN DOVE
