God showed me something when I was preparing a Sunday School lesson. I just copied and pasted the excerpt from my notes here. Just had to share: 2 Corinthians 9:15 KJV Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. This verse right here is the very first time in the entire Bible we see the word unspeakable. In fact, the English word unspeakable appears in the Bible only a total of three times... ...and the Greek word that THIS occurrence of the word unspeakable is translated from occurs only ONCE...right here. IN FACT, I have seen reference in my studies from at least one other preacher stating that not only is this the only place we see that Greek word in the Bible, but it is, as far as we know, the only time this word had ever been used in the Greek language. In other words, just like people have a tendency to make up words overtime to grasp a certain concept that Webster would not say exists, it has been suggested that Paul...because absolutely nothing in this universe even begins to compare to this gift of which Paul speaks...actually felt led to make the word up! Wow!
