★ ★Good Article - Just a Thought.★ ★ 6 good points to keep your readers attention when writing an article. 1. Write in the everyday language that you talk. Let your personality and experience show through your article. Use language the people are familiar with. 2.Use action verbs in your writing. It not only reduces the number of words you use, but, they are more engage-able by the audience. Joe likes Joan. is stronger than Joan is liked by Joe. 3.Keep things simple as possible. Without writing at kindergarten level, keep things simple enough that anyone reading should understand. You are not writing a college thesis, but you are not writing to morons, either. If the message is not clear, it is up to you to clarify things before publishing. 4. Honestly, your readers dont care about your achievements nor your degrees, nor how many books you have written, They only care about how you can help with their problems. So, include a great benefit to them that you can provide. 5.Make your pont up front and then use the article to support it. Dont make your readers go through half the writing to have to figure out what your point is. That way they are more than likely going to finish your writing and perhaps read about the author and would want more information. 6. Keep sentences and paragraphs short and to the point. Large pieces of information overwhelm people. The general rule is that if you sentences are 18-22 words long, cut them into two different sentences.
