Good Morning FB Friends. July 29......a big day for me, Jimmy and Joe. Several years ago, Ill not say how many, this day changed the dynamic of our family. Jimmy and I became the parents of a beautiful, talented, loving daughter and Joe became a brother and no longer an only child. He stepped into the roll at 13 and did great. Lee Jane was a beautiful, fun-loving child....never shy....she loved to perform. As she grew, she took this love onto the stage...singing and acting. It took her to college, then to Florida and then to California. Finally, the draw of a loving family brought her home. We were so proud of her for using the talents God gave her, but now, we are even more proud of her. She has fallen deeply in love with the Lord and has such a heart for helping the Lords people in the mission field. She sings in the choir at EPBC, she is part of the Womens Ministry, and she is very involved in sharing the love of Jesus with the youth of our area in Young Life and in serving the people in the devastated country of Haiti. I love you, Lee Jane. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Hope ya have a blessed day. Just as we were so happy when Lee Jane came home, the Lord wants us to come to Him continually. He wants to be the center of our consciousness. JESUS CALLING says the Lord is the anchor of our soul. Just like a boat drifts away on the sea only to be tugged back by the anchors rope, as our mind wanders away from God, His Spirit gives us a tug, prompting us to return to God. The more we listen to the Lord and read the Bible, the shorter the rope to our souls anchor becomes. HEBREWS 6:18 says God has given both His promise and His oath. These two things cant change because God cant lie. Once we give our life to Him, we can hold with confidence the hope that lies before us. 19: This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. When we are in the Presence, we only have to wander a short distance before we feel the tug to return to the Lord. 1 John 2:28; And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when He returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from Him in shame. I want to meet the Father with happy eagerness, not with anxiety and fear. Yall have a Terrific Tuesday.
