Good Morning Friends in Christ, I pray your nights rest was peaceful and you are ready for Gods opportunities. If He presents a situation to you, trust and move forward. Todays scripture comes from 2 Peter 1:4, Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. To those who believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior, God has provided eternal life in Heaven. To us as humans, living by clocks and calendars, eternal life seems unfathomable. However, if it is something God promises, He will deliver. That leaves us currently on earth, living as an alien in a place not welcoming to God. That is where the last part of this scripture comes in. We have scriptures, we have other believers, we have the presence of the Holy Spirit to help get us through this life. Fighting off the temptation/corruption of the world is possible, just not on our own. Jesus didnt come to earth and go Rambo style; a one man God-Sharing machine. He relied on and stayed in constant communication with our Heavenly Father. If Jesus needed to keep God close, perhaps we should do the same. It definitely makes this life easier to navigate.
