Good Morning! Ive attached links to both the Committee of the Whole and Council meeting videos from last night. This marks the first time (that I am aware) that we have televised our Committee meeting. Thanks to Councilman Taiber for the suggestion. It really will offer you more access to City happenings, as well as the opportunity to get to know your Council a little better. The Meeting before the Meeting has always been something that has piqued my interest, especially since they were not televised and there really is a lot of information sharing that happens amongst Council and Staff at these meetings. I like the Committee meetings in that we are at ground level just like you - where we should be. No judge - jury formalities, were where we should be - at the same level as our constituents. The meetings were interesting as always. We were given our Goal Setting Update from the Public Safety Dept. If you have time, take a look at a very well rounded presentation by PS Director Jeff Olson. Some of the info may surprise you. The Committee meeting takes a while to load up, and please be patient with us while we get used to the new digs. Well need some time to adjust to what I think will be great transition to more transparency.
