Good Morning WIL! This morning WIL be a ramble on many subjects. The weather is getting pleasant in many parts of the country, and we all know what that means. Cooler temps mean rescue dogs that WIL need to be Wrapped in Love for any number of reasons other then just the cool temps. Your donated blankets, sweaters, belly bands, diapers, and toys help in many other ways than just warmth. Comfort during the rescue to foster phase, foster to adoption phase, aiding in socializing the fearful, aiding in potty training/marking, promotion during adoption fairs. these are just a few that come to mind. The group is a bit spread out at this point having members doing the restock of Painted Paws, restock of Paws in Prison, finishing up Small Paws, and Little Paws along with the current campaign of NE PA. And of course there is always the next rescue waiting in the wings. Its a lot to keep track of but the good news here is that the NEW web site WIL be up any day and hopefully help in the organization of whats going where and when. Yours truly has even lost track of my donations that need to be sent and where! Newer members if you have not signed up for your Jo Annes 10% discount card and certificate yet please contact Karen Boone, and she WIL assist you. Looking into the future. As most of you have no doubt seen WIL has made an effort to assist the smaller, newer, mom and pop, special needs special project, small budget rescues. The under dog if you WIL. If you have an idea for a rescue that fits the bill please contact Diane McCrary Souza. The next rescue on the list of many is VERY SPECIAL. On the horizon is Veterans day and you might want to be thinking red white and Blue fleece! Far into the future is Christmas and many WIL members will need to concentrate on family and friends so feed back by you is needed slow down until the season passes? continue as normal? each member donate to their LOCAL shelter? Still kicking this one around!!! This is your group so networking it can be something done by membership. If you would like please PM me and Ill send you a small post that can be used to seek dog loving, artisans and crafters or just individuals that want to do something and can tie a knot! IE: Girl Scouts, Boy scouts, knitting, crocheting and sewing clubs, home ex classes in schools ( do they still call it home ex?). In searching for other groups like minded to WIL none have been found that accomplish what you have, on this scale. That reach to multiple rescues, breed specific, and all breed rescues. Best indications are WIL is one of a kind. Ladies, YOU have and continue to do something that is very unique, loving, and comforting to rescued dogs. I applaud thank you all!
