Good Wednesday morning, Hopkins County area.....an unseasonably warm 67 degrees at my house this morning, at 5:30 a.m......makes one think about summertime, instead of spring....to think a month ago it was snowing!....todays weather calls for a beautiful day and over 80 degrees, and an overnight low of approximately 70 degrees and a 50% chance of rain.....folks, were missing those rains and the temperatures are unseasonably warm.....looking like a long, long time until autumn, if things dont change!.....I had someone to remind me that it thundered on the second of February, so it was suppose to frost today....well, I guess that Old sayin dont always work!.....Students continue to take the STAAR test today, wish them luck and if you feel, like many, that the test is not a valid measure for education, make sure you contact your congressman and let them know your feelings, thats the only way things are going to change....remind them that they can be voted out!....should they not give you a valid accounting, then, let your friends and neighbors know that vote!.....I attended a visitation last night of a very special lady, that Id known practically all my life, and maybe its age catching up with me, but it was kind of like this is your life....others in attendance were special friends from childhood and other people that youd know for a lifetime...makes you feel very, very special to live in Hopkins County and share life with people and have relationships that last for a lifetime....we are truly blessed!...When someone older that Ive known for a lifetime passes away, Im reminded of Gods message in the book of Revelations, chapter 21, verses 4 and 5, God will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Then, He who sat on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new!.....Wont heaven be a special place, surrounded by those we love and have shared life with here on earth? Imagine a reunion of all of your special friends, those loved ones for generations, and those blessed souls that have made an impact on your life throughout the years! Not to even imagine the eternal beauty that will be shared! Heaven will truly be awesome! Serve God on this glorious, warm, springtime day, and think of the grand reward that awaits those that love the Lord!
