Good evening ladies and gentlemen, For those of you who don’t - TopicsExpress

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, For those of you who don’t know, I am Kevin Benjamin Thompson and I served alongside the many great men and women that have made up this glorious campaign. Those of you with a sharpened intuition have already made the guess, a correct guess I might add, that I am addressing events which occurred primarily today, March 10, 2014, in between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Let me be among the first people involved in that contest to make an apology. Regardless of the nature of our brief tension, there should be no room in this movement for infighting, especially when considering how out-manned and out-gunned we are. I am making this post to bring light to something that is good if we approach it well and terrible if we approach it poorly. You see, my fellow Texans, we are a coalition; a coalition of Conservatives and Libertarians. What does this mean? My friends, this means that we are more than a mere partisan element. We are a movement, yes, a movement towards freedom. So with this great realization upon us, do we rescind every courageous action, every tear, every ounce of sweat and blood on the brow through infighting or shall we recognize that we are speaking a common language, professing an idea whose time has come? I cannot make this decision for you. During these next few years, these next few… tribulations, we will be act as an iron fist in defiance of our Washington overlords. Together, and only together, can we unchain our fellow Texans from bondage to Washington; to show that there is another way! Let me be clear in telling you what Brett told me the very day I signed up for this that nothing is expected of any of you. Nothing ever was in this entire campaign. Everything you did was done because YOU believed it to be best for the Stovall Campaign and you rewarded our trust by giving us 10% of the vote with almost no money and no resources. You are to be proud of this. There is no guilt in not wanting to continue this. We all have lives that must be lived, we all have bills that must be paid, we all have fingers that must be splintered, we all have tears that must be shed, we all have minds that must be sharpened, and in order to thrive in the society we are wishing to build, we must take each and every opportunity to do all of those things. I am not asking you to forsake opportunity or obligation in order to face this coming storm and I never would... but as I have told many people before, when that bill has been paid, when those splintered fingers have been remedied, when those eyes have shed their last tear, and when that mind has finally been sharpened, I would be honored to have you, as a fellow Texan, a fellow American, a brother, and a son, take up this cause with Stovall, Brett, myself, and all other who choose to fight. So I end this message with the familiar words: God Bless You; God Bless Texas
