Good morning Im going to speak on a subject which these Happy Glad Churches dont speak about. Evil the concept of evil is expressed in the Old Testament. In the Old Testament they focus on two aspects of evil. Morally they identify actions that violate Gods intentions for human beings. The words are also used to describe the consequences of doing evil, the tragedy, distress, and physical and emotional harm thsy comes as a result of wrong moral choices. These like the choices themselves are labeled evil. As in the case with biblical teems for sin, there is no room for relativism. God presents Himself as a standard which good and evil are measured and wrong action is often described as doing evil in the eyes of the Lord We can not philosophy it by saying evil is the absence of good or make one feel good speaking of the gap between Creator and creature. Todays candy coating minimizes and gives too many that Im not that bad...Ill try todo better. Not only is this reckless is arrogant to think youll have the opportunity to do better. No man knows the time or hour. You see evil is not only the actions, but also the result the human misery, distress, troubles and disasters that follow evil actions. We can not really undersysnd the Bibles view of evil until we sense the extent of the personal tragedy the physical and psychological disasters. ..v the result from abandoning Gods way. There are three terms for sin standards established by God Hata means to miss and to fsll short of the standard. Pesa means rebellion or transgression which means to revolt against the standard. And awon means iniquity or guilt to deviate from the standard. We are human beings flawed and decieve by the enemy to believe we are not that bad. Brothers and Sisters bad is bad, like sin is sin. There are no degrees to sin. We all fall short, now lets go to God who has raised a standard, created us in Hos image and sent Jesus so that we may live. Time to do this right, we are not promised tomorrow. I pray this helpedis understand that we are in need of repair. I am Renewed, Redeemed, Restored. Until the next.
