Good morning. Mike is doing very well and we are so happy to give you all good news, yesterday Mike was able to make two of his fingers on his left hand move slightly. Our prayers are being answered as Mike continues to get healthier and stronger with each passing day. He obviously is feeling better as each graduation party he goes to, and there have been many, he stays longer and longer. In fact last night he stayed out quite late. We even let his buddy Mario use the van to bring him home from the party, another hurdle Mom and Dad were able to overcome with Mikes assurances that everything would be fine. We went to bed and we both slept with one eye opened just like we did when our son stayed out late before the injury. The new normal has so many similarities to the old normal, just that you worry even more now than before about letting your child become a young man. As much as we want to be able to be at Mikes side every second, we know we must allow Mike to grow up, and giving him more and more freedom is part of the growing up process. We remember a few months back when we and the doctors were unsure if Mike would be with us, that was terrifying. Now we are so grateful that our terror has become more like the worry all parents of an 18 year old have when their child ventures out on their own. We still worry about our oldest Denise, who will be 33 next month so we are kind of used to worrying about your childrens well being, that comes with the territory of being a parent. So the new normal for us is just that, normal. Remember that your prayers are so helpful to us each and every day. We continue to pray for Mikes health, his recovery, and his adjustment to the new normal. Thank You All Chris and Steve
