Good morning People of God its 6:30 am, and today is a great day. The marriage of my daughter LaShunda Jones and Benjamin Horne will take place today at 1:00 pm, and I am grateful for my new son in law. In the midst of these trying times in my life, God reminded me this morning that He is still in control of my life no matter what comes against me. God Is The Creator Of All Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. (Isaiah 54:16) As I continue to battle this encounter with my heart condition, and now the uncontrollable blood pressure, and the low kidney function, there is always an attempt by the enemy to try and cause you to see the faithfulness of God in a way other than the way you have looked at it before. In my quiet time this morning, God reminded me that there is nothing that is taking place in my life at this moment that He is not aware of. In the account of Isaiah, there is a powerful illustration used that certainly makes it very clear that even in the midst of our worst storms, God is doing something great in our lives. A blacksmith is a person that uses heat to forge special instruments for a certain purpose. The metal before heating it, is just a hard, non-pliable piece of steel with no purpose at all. Once the blacksmith dips the metal down into the very hot fire, the metal then becomes flexible, able to be bended into the needed shape to form a perfect tool for his work. We My Friends, are that inflexible piece of steel, not yet finished being shaped into an instrument for Gods purpose. God is saying this morning, that He is the one that created the blacksmith. The blacksmith can be any situation that god allows in your life with the purpose in mind of forging, or changing you into a useable instrument. The fire is very hot, being heated to the exact temperature that God needs it to be in order to shape you, and mold you into the instrument of purpose that He created you to be. We have a tendency to think that its our choice how hot the fire is, and when the process is complete. I want to tell you this morning, God created the blacksmith, He controls temperature of the fire, and the length of the time spent in the fire, and yes even the waster to destroy. The hotter the fire needs to be, the more the blacksmith blows the coals. In other words as I close; God has allowed us to go through every fiery trial that we face in our lives on a daily basis, in order to accomplish His purpose for our lives. These trials cause us to become bendable, flexible, and ready to be shaped by God for His purpose, not our own. I thank God for the reminder this morning to be encouraged, be still, and know that He is God in my life. God Is The Creator Of All, not just the situations that seem to be the most favorable, but even those that dont. No, Its not over until God says, Its Over. Have a blessed Day in the Lord.
