Good morning/afternoon/evening to all my supporters (depending upon where in the world you might be), I have just got word that I will be swimming today at 5:00 pm UK time (Friday 18th July at 9:00 am west coast US time or 2:00 am on Saturday 19th July on the east coast of Australia). I had breakfast with my support crew this morning (Poppy, Peter, Mum and Dad, Rick, Olivia, Dot and Sass - Jono and Jo, Joel and Michelle are still on their way) and a training swim with my boat crew (Rick, Olivia and Sass). They are here and ready to support me so I am ready to go. Please remember that neither link will start working until I have started my swim. Lastly, thank you to all who have helped me get to the position I am at now. I feel like I have had a great preparation and to all those at the South End Rowing Club (and the Dolphin Club), the Bondi Icebergs, Night Train Swimmers, North Bay Aquatics, Vlad Swim School, the Serpentine Swim Club - and to all my family and friends in the USA and Australia, thank you. Lastly and most importantly, a big thank you to my family. Sally, Olivia and Dot have put up with a lot. I go to bed early at night, I get up early every morning and I am never around on the weekends (which is time for the long swims). I cannot thank you all enough. I am also super excited to have my Mum and Dad, my sister and daughters, brother and sister in law (with partners) and some great old and new friends here with me. Most of them have traveled a long way to be here and I greatly appreciate it. Now, I gotta do what I came here to do. Swim until there is no more water.
