Good morning all this bright Sunday (at least where I am). God loves us all. Remember in life everyone has ups and downs in equal measure, so if you have anything really disturbing you, just know there are many more with much bigger disturbing issues than you. God will see you through. The worst thing that can happen to you is death. ..Listen, one day I was in a plane from Mandera to Nairobi and one engine of the aircraft (Fly 540) failed. All passengers were in panic. A lady who was sitting next to me took her handbag and wanted the door to open so that she jumps out. The plane reduced speed, we saw fuel dripping out! The air hostel serving us retreated to her seat. We saw death! But the pilot kept assuring us all will be well only that the flight would take longer! He he he! I kept asking myself, so it is only one engine left, what if it fails again? What if the thing that caused engine one to fail does the same to engine 2? .. About to land at JKIA we saw three fire engines waiting for our emergency landing. It was a sigh of relief when we landed, we jostled for the exit! .. Then everyone had their stories to tell. One said, "While in air panicking, I counted all my debts including the many I had been hiding from my wife and wondered how she would be tormented with those debts in my absent." Another one said (a lady) she was imagining how her husband who was jobless would be left hopeless in life taking care of orphans. Another one said he had already imagined where his grave would be dug in his rural home. .. For me, I was already imagining how headlines would be reading; "a shujaa 4m meru november sierra india sierra e peter mundi perishes in a plane crash and how I would become news after several years of november sierra india sierra. .. Let me be honest, we all imagined unimaginable things! .. What that incident taught me is that death is the worst thing that can happen to you. You will overcome that BIG, DISTURBING, UNSETTLING issue in your mind. And the Bible says trust not in Man, but trust in God. Have a blessed Sunday
