Good morning everyone! Did you see the beautiful sunrise this morning? It considerably brightened my attitude about heading to work after such a fun weekend. It has been 144 days since Thanksgiving. I’m mentioning that because my spirit of giving thanks has been lagging a little lately. I found myself looking at a friend’s SUV and sighing a bit, wondering why I can’t ever afford a newer car that would hold the dogs a little more comfortably and grumbling a because my job is not very exciting right now, and then there are projects around the house that I’d hire out if I could but I can’t…. I was being an ungrateful grouch! A little envy, a little jealousy was turning other’s good fortunes into reasons for me to feel sorry for myself. Silly me! I have a great life. Yeah, there are legitimist worries and concerns but to manufacture grumbles because someone else has more or better than what I have is crazy. I could be the queen of the world but someone would always have something more/better/different than I have. Spring is a season of happiness for me but there is also frustration because I want to DO so much and there is simply not enough time and resources. So this week I am going to concentrate on being grateful for what I have just like at Thanksgiving. I hope it’s not tedious for you to read but I’m still a work in progress and it seems I need a little more intensive work right now. :-)
