Goodness gracious sakes alive, what a day - what a day! Yesterday was a ton of hard work, but we had so much fun! Thank you to everyone that came out and said hi at either Sams or Pet Supplies Plus. Huge thanks to Tommy and Carrie for arriving an hour early and constructing the greatest adoption event tent of all time (or the mobile Taj as someone called it). Big thanks to Julie and Dave for bringing Sadie out and hanging with us all day. Thanks to Christle, Jurnee, Lyberty and Carrie for staying from 11:30 to 6:30 and working their derrières off. Seven straight hours of adoption eventing is no joke! Thank you to our favorite licensed veterinary technician, Nicole, for driving an hour and bringing us four puppies and hanging with us all day (only taking one short break to go to her wedding dress appointment and then coming right back)! Huge thanks to our resident photographer, Susan, for coming out to both Sams and Pet Supplies Plus to take pictures of our dogs but not getting a chance to photograph any of them because we were so busy (it was that kind of day). So sorry, Susan, I owe you. Another thank you goes to Ruth and Hannah for bringing us delicious, beautiful cupcakes and cookies to sell as a fundraiser. What a great idea! All the yummy goodies were either sold or in my tummy in about 10 minutes! Nomnomnom. Thanks to Missy for helping us break down one event and set up the next. Thank you to Noel, our favorite little elf and Bellas mom, for coming over to Pet Supplies Plus after a long day at work and helping out. I have to give a big shout out to Jesse, Katie and Phil at Pet Supplies Plus in Midlothian for letting us totally and completely take over their store. It was some standing room only total chaos and they were great sports about it. Big thanks to Casa Grande Mexican Restaurant for serving me two giant margaritas when the day was finally over. Im pretty sure the new shirts gave us super powers because we killed it all day long. Three of our dogs went home yesterday. Two of our dogs met their potential new families and have home visits scheduled for tomorrow. One of our dogs got an application and he wasnt even there, just his picture. We met lots of awesome Facebook fans, two of which came all the way from Fredericksburg to say hi! Debra Gills won the gift basket and naming rights. We had a great, fun, successful day, and as always Im thankful for everyone that played a role in it. We couldnt do it without you!
